Smoking Obama

Hello IGWers,

Foundations and charities often ask for sponsors. But, today I found out that the American Legacy foundation(a foundation that seeks to stop youth smoking) asked Obama for endorsement. The problem is not Obama. President and so forth you would have thought this was going to work. If you did, you’d be massively wrong. Obama smokes and is trying to quit along with countless other Americans.

So I got to thinking about other people I might ask for advice given the same logic.

1. The Palm Beach Country Club where I might be able to invest some money.

2. Colonel Sanders where I might find a salad.

3. Lions Head Coach Rod Marinelli where I might find a book on performance management

4. Pauly Shore for comedic advise

5. O.J. on sports memorabilia

To more shoddy advise.

NOW that is what I call music volume I can’t count that high

Hello IGWers,

I was commensing in some Christmas shopping yesterday and I saw a number of funny and odd innovations in the stores, but right at the checkout it struck me. Now 29. This sounds like a desparate female name online. I think that turning 30 and calling yourself NOW is a bit of a troubling statement. I have never purchased a NOW cd. I have refrained because the songs have been overplayed on the radio by the time I see it.

I don’t have anything against top 40 music on cds. Shoot away. However, realizing that we are going to have to categorize NOW albums by geologic era I become a bit troubled.

To more musical innovation gone wrong!

Buy one vehicle get one free

Hello IGWers,

Bailout nation in the states is clearly focused around the finance industry and the auto industry. While this is obvious, I have been reluctant to mention the auto industry until now. I know there are numerous models of cars that really should not be out on the roadway I will get to that another time.

This update is on a situation in Belgium. Apparently in Belgium you can do buy one get one free. This is a bit ridiculous. The only restriction is the second car can only be up to 14,000 euros. I mean this makes sense for groceries and happy hour discounts, but does it really make sense for vehicles. What if they just make vehicles that people will want and overpay for like the Toyota Prius. I’m thinking that the automakers should all copy Toyota and make Prius-type vehicles that people really want.

Detroit, why don’t you borrow Steve Jobs, RIMM and the Toyota designers to make the most addictive technologically advanced, fuel-efficient vehicle ever constructed.

To Detroit continuing to roll out Pintos.
